VIII. Requirements for TV Broadcasting Entities
1.License
Licenses shall be issued for broadcasting stations and television stations which conform to the qualifications after the examination by the administrative department of radio and television under the State Council. Broadcasting stations and television stations shall produce and broadcast programs in accordance with the station names, station logos, program scope and set number of programs specifi ed in the licenses.
2.Examination obligations
Before broadcasting a TV series, a TV station shall verify the Permit for Distribution of TV Series obtained according to law and the content of the TV series it will broadcast, among which the content of the TV series shall be examined before broadcasting and re-examined before rebroadcast. The content of the TV series that violates relevant laws, regulations or policy requirements shall be reported to the administrative department of radio and television under the State Council for further disposal by the administrative department of radio and television of the people's government of a province, autonomous region or municipality directly under the Central Government.
3.Broadcast requirements
(1) A TV series that has obtained a TV Series Distribution License shall be distributed and broadcast in accordance with the content approved through examination. Where the name, main characters, main stories, length of the episodes or any other issue of the TV series is changed, the original entity as the examinee shall reapply to the original license-issuing organ for examination in accordance with these provi sions.
(2) When a TV series is broadcast, a clear indication of the corresponding serial number of the TV Series Distribution License shall be given in the beginning of each episode of the TV series, and a clear indication of the corresponding serial number of the TV series Production License shall be given at the end of each episode of the TV series.
(3) A TV station shall legally broadcast a TV series as a whole and shall not infringe upon the legitimate rights and interests of the relevant copyright holders.
